Tiles
In the conclusion of my tile project I feel that I learned a lot about how to do things in ceramics. I learned a lot of new techniques including some simple art techniques such as balance, shape, and movement. Throughout this experience I have learned a lot and I cannot wait to get to work on my next project!
Favorite Tile
I chose this as my favorite tile because I spent a lot of time on it and I love the way that it turned out. I also chose this one because I love the way that I put texture on the back of the cat.

Best Glazed Tile
I chose this to be my best glazed tile because it shows how patient I had to be when painting these tiles. It shows this because I has to paint the tree and all the flowers and they are all very small details which made this especially difficult.

I just coiling and a lot of the tools to create my mug. I tried out some new types of things because I had to create different types of flowers. I used variety and proportion to make the work better. The meaning behind my work is that I like flowers and I decided to put them on my mug. Not really, it did not come out the way I thought it would.
Favorite Project:
I have worked on many projects this year. I really enjoyed working on my tiles because it gave me a chance to try many different things. I enjoyed that I got to make animals and flowers and abstract things because all of the other projects did not have as much freedom. I did not know how much I would enjoy that project until I did some of the other projects. I hope the students next year have as much fun with it as I did.
Valuable Information:
The most important thing I learned in ceramics this year is how to work with clay on a basic level. This is a broad answer but before coming into this class I had worked with clay maybe twice. I learned about wedging and how to connect pieces of clay together. These are important skills to have when working with clay in the future.
10 Years From Now:
In 10 years I will probably remember making tiles and other such ceramic things. I hope I will remember some of the people. I hope I remember how to work with clay and the other things I listed I learned to do in valuable information. I want to remember how much fun I had working with clay and also how frustrating it was to have things break and have to deal with challenges like that.
